HEALTHCARE guarantee

At Daniel Border Collie Pups, our mission is to raise healthy, happy, and well-socialized Border Collie puppies that will bring joy to your home for many years to come. Every puppy we raise is part of our family first — and we take their health and well-being seriously from birth to adoption.

Our Health Commitment to You

We guarantee that your Border Collie puppy has been examined by a licensed veterinarian and is in good health at the time of adoption.
Your puppy will come with:

  • Up-to-date age-appropriate vaccinations

  • Deworming treatments

  • A detailed health record

  • A vet health certificate (issued within 7 days of adoption)

Genetic & Congenital Health Guarantee

We stand behind the genetic health of every puppy we raise.

If your puppy is diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian with a life-threatening congenital or hereditary disorder within the first two (2) years of life that severely impacts its quality of life, we will:

  • Offer a replacement puppy of equal value from any future litter of your choice.

  • In cases where the puppy has not passed away, medical documentation such as x-rays, diagnostic reports, or a second veterinary opinion may be required.

If the condition or genetic issue occurs after the puppy turns two (2) years old, we will offer a 50% credit of your original purchase price toward a new puppy from any of our upcoming litters.
In all cases, the condition or cause of death must be verified by a licensed veterinarian and may require supporting documentation.

What’s Not Covered

While we strive for perfection, some things are beyond our control. This health guarantee does not cover:

  • Routine veterinary care (checkups, vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick/heartworm prevention)

  • Injuries, neglect, or illnesses caused by environmental factors or accidents

  • Issues related to diet, weight management, or poor nutrition

  • Non-genetic conditions such as allergies, ear infections, or common parasites

  • Cosmetic features like color, size, ear shape, or coat type

  • Breeding capability or reproductive performance

  • Hip or elbow dysplasia if the puppy has been overweight, under-exercised, or lacks a record of proper diet and joint supplements approved by us

We also cannot offer replacement or refund if the puppy’s medical care, vaccinations, or parasite prevention have not been maintained according to veterinary standards.
Failure to provide regular veterinary care will void this guarantee.

Your Part in Keeping Your Puppy Healthy

To uphold this guarantee and ensure your puppy’s long, happy life:

  1. Have your veterinarian examine your puppy within 5 days of arrival.

  2. Maintain all routine vaccinations, deworming, and preventative care as recommended by your vet.

  3. Feed a high-quality diet and maintain a healthy weight for your puppy.

  4. Provide proper exercise, training, and love to help your Border Collie thrive.

Our Promise

We understand that a puppy is not “just a pet” — it’s a beloved family member.
While no living being can be guaranteed to never fall ill, we promise honesty, transparency, and lifelong support to every family who adopts from us.
Our goal is simple: to ensure your new Border Collie is a healthy, happy, and loyal companion for years to come.
